This time, I won't post any rules (only some advice)... YOU GUYS FIGURE IT OUT!!

THE BACK STORY: The last time we had this section open, it was GREAT (successfully organized HUNDREDS of battles in only 3 months!)... unfortunately, it was also impossible to moderate/manage because I had to constantly start battles, match people, close battles, declare winners, etc. I had started to code / program an actual web application (!) to automate all of this, but never had the time to do it right, so closed the battle section... ANYWAY now it's open again


MY ADVICE FOR SUCCESSFUL BATTLES:

. Don't vote for yourself! Votes are PUBLIC so it will be known

. Keep battles small (2 to 4 entries) - easier to listen & vote - easier to get started (dont have to wait for 20 people to upload their entry)

. Keep poll time short (2 to 4 days) - faster turnaround - people want to know winner QUICK and MOVE ON TO THE NEXT ONE

. USE FP HOSTING (attachments) to post entries - people *hate* when entries don't have the same listening experience (myspace, soundclick, fp, etc ... you get dizzy)
