I'd go with a different snare sound.

FEEEEEEEDBACK!

you make me feel - got that happy feel to it, not bad.... i agree about the snare on this track, try experimenting with a few others

My Way - I like this one, you got a good formula going on, why dont you try putting some reverb on your snare or use it around a clap to give it that ooomf!!!

All in all good stuff mate... how long you been producing and what are you using .. MPC???

keep it sleazy!

MY **** IS SO SICK WHEN I SPIT I VOMIT IT !!!

I'll have a look and see what works for me about the snares.
Usually I like pretty loud snares but obviously it aint workin!

I used Reason 4 for both tracks, and then Recycle and Audacity to chop get the samples. I then transferred it to Mixmeister to find out the BPM , and then just added Drums, Bass and some subtle strings.

Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming, its the main way you improve.

well ... you got it sounding real smooth!!! keep postin your funk and reppin UK!!!!!! and you can still get that loud snare going on... just try some reverb and play with the levels, you'll come up with something i'm sure... that's not saying what you did doesnt work.. it does ... just personal taste! its YOUR music!!! peace!

Well its good to hear im moving in the right direction...try this track, you might recognise the original (everybody on this forum seems to know the original to every track!)

The snare isnt so loud and it blends in a bit more with the track.

Yeah it is! Kanye West used the sample as well, so i got it from him.
Its an unrelaased instrumental.
Chopping it was dead easy.
I actually find this sampling really easy because most motown/soul and even some rock tracks sound great when pitch shifted with an 808 over the top.

Ive got some other tracks on my myspace (myspace. com/sharman06) so check that out
