Thanks. I've got a pretty good drum collection. The track was hard but he aint come serious enough with the drums so i used some slightly harder drums. Light compression 'n thangs.

Yeah i actually had the sample sounding perfect, but once you swung all the drums it sounded horrible, so i had to move around each sample to rock with the drums. Once you take out the drums, then the chops sound pretty bizarre....gives you a sense of just how much time you oughta put into personalizing your own arrangements, y'know?
Thanks, btw

I actually began this beat just testing a theory of mine, with hats. I spend alot of time on my own tracks so i didn't want to get too caught up in this joint. I pretty serious when it comes to my music, and i've been letting these nonsense beats linger on my myspace long enough so, im getting some material together so i can have it looking somewhat decent, feel me?
PS - i remember you posting that file.....honestly a good bit of it was pretty off...but even more honestly, it was your initial post that made me pick this one to give it a shot

Well i never have just one process....sometimes i actually mix techniques. In this case, since it was only about 6 chops and i knew what i was looking to do, i just went with the regular sequencer.
If i'm doing my own tracks i usually Edison ---> FPC ---> MIDI keyboard and bang 'em out, ASR style.
PS - i NEVER use the FL Slicer.
