that's a tough one, u probably can't find anything because the techniques involved are very hard to transfer to paper. Video's might be easier to find. I studied classical and flamenco guitar from a teacher while in college. that'd be the best way to go.

Yeah it's looking like your right on that front... I can't find anything in english, and I've been looking for a min... I'm getting a teacher at some point, but I like to have books and vids around to do my own research too...

I know estaban has a video... have you seen that one? just want to know if it's really basic stuff on there or the stuff I want to know.

Thanks for the suggestion.

i haven't seen the video, but it's probably not basic stuff considering that flamenco guitar techniques aren't very basic at all. Start growing out your nails on your picking hand and get your fingers in shape..

yeah that's the way I do everything, but sometimes a book will have "they use these chords" or "this pattern" then you can and evolve your own interpratation of how to best use it... do you have any videos to suggest... I don't think santana has anything but song books but I'll check guitar center today... need to stock up on some more books anyway... thanks guys...

classical guitar is one of my passions. When I'm too lazy to transcribe the sheet music into playing positions, I'll search www.classtabs.org and use the tab as a guide. (mostly Tarrega's music)

The rasgueado technique is something you'll have to learn for flaminco and modern classical guitar, and for most it takes a longer time to sound competent versus learning to play standard pick strum guitar.

google rasgueado tutorial.
