He basically talks about how he stepped up his game up from sampling to interpolating/replaying his music through Reason. Now, can anyone shed light on this and exactly what is going on?

Dam, that beat is hot. Man, that organ like sound makes it sound like a Just Blaze track.

Khalil (and possibly some hired session musicians) play either original music or a cover of a song and they sample it. It's not new, just new to him.

The b**** in u makes u run for cover when I spit at u. Man to man zone Allen Iverson couldn't dribble through. Rapid-fire syllables. U gotta bribe me wit' a mil or 2 to keep me from killin' u with the lyrical.

Yeah it sounds like he just records the sample in Reason. Exports it and then chops it in Recycle then sends it back to Reason probably in Dr. Rex and then can play it and chop it how he wants. That beat is hot btw

You basically just recreate elements of a song in your beat, therefore not having to sample. Kanye does this to some extent on some beats...
