No, not if want a different pitch at the same speed, which is called pitchshifting. There is no pitchshifting or timestretching in Reason. Pitch and time are directly proprtional in Reason. But what ur doing works fine if u have a bass note and u want to play it like it's a bass patch. Not fine if u have a bass phrase or loop that u'd like to play at a diff pitch. If u want tp play it like any other patch, set the loop points on the sample, that way when u hold longer notes the sound is still there instead of the sample running out on u. Read up on the nnxt in the help menu if u don't how to set the loop points. Hope that helps.
