I Have An Akai Mpc1000 And My Pad 1 Is Going Bad, You Have To Hit It Way Harder Then The Rest Of The Other Pads. Any Suggestions On How To Get It Fixed?

I Also Heard You Could Fix Ur Mpc Pads By Dipping It In A Tub Of Warm Water And Wraping It In A Towel And Putting It In A Freezer Or Something Like That?

Have Anybody Heard Of Anything Like That Before?

Thanx

LMAO..Yeah dip your MPC in a tub of warm water and see how far that gets you!

But seriously have you replaced the pads with the new ones? The original 1k pads suck ass so Akai released a replacement set of pads for like $200. If you havent, then go buy them. The pads on the 1k are a joke.

uummmm.....I wouldn't do this if I were you!!!

Are you sure its your pad? or Is it your pad sensor?
If its you pads then thats nothing they go for around $20-$35 and I've seen the sensor's list on the internet for around double what the pads cost $60-$70

This sensor is for the 2500 but the 1000 sensor may be the same but make sure you check first.

this was the first I've heard about the 1k pads being wacker than the other pricier models. The train I thought I had, and others shared this, was that these pads are as durable and long lasting as the pads on the other models. With that being said, I do notice the few pads I use the most, like the Save and Load and 1 do have to be hit harder when I'm renaming files . . so I guess the majority sentiment is correct . . . I bang the hell out of mine though, so I would expect it to lose strength eventually . . . my fingers are soar right now as a matter of fact from bangin, i gotta give my finger a day to rest befoee i get back on - lol
