I found a song I want to sample off I-tunes and I was wondering if anyone knew a program to convert the file from MPEG-4 to MP3 or WAV.

I can't load the file in Audacity or Cubase, and my MPC doesnt seem to be able to find it on the harddrive.

Load up Audacity, set the record to the "wave out mix", hit record, then play the song in itunes. It will record everything going through your speakers. That's the only way I know how to do that.

Its protected, burn it to a CD and import it as a WAV.

How do I set up the wave out mix record.
I don't use Audacity much...

do what noble said...don't even touch audacity, use itunes to burn and strip the DRM, and then reimport it as a wav file

You have an mpc, sample it from the computer. I don't see where the confusion lies? Stop makin stuff un-nessecarily complicated.

At the top of the screen, there should be a drop-down menu next to a microphone icon, you'll find wave out mix there (only if your soundcard supports it, IIRC)

Then hit record and it will pick up any sound your computer is making.

mine is the "stereo mix" on audacity, select it an then it will record what is playing on the computer
