Many people already know about this, but others don't.
Personally I know very little about it...
Some friends "shot" a VERY nice music video for their band using ... SECOND LIFE (!)

I will dig up the video if I can get a hold of my friends.

SO

. Any of you have experience with MACHINIMA techniques?

. Do you have tips, tutorials to share with everyone on FP?

. How do you SYNC voice tracks with characters on-screen?

. Any FREE game engines or DEMO SOFTWARE that could be used to create these?

Here is some info I gathered quickly:

Machinima on Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machinima

Machinima music videos on Youtube:
http://youtube.com/results?search_qu...ma+music+video

Machinima for dummies website:

Post info!

The last link - Machinima for dummies, has a great clip called the The Dumb Man. Even if Machinima is not your cup of tea, this clip demonstrates a lot of imaginative ideas and good storyboarding, something that's necessary for a decent music video. There's not a lot of motion on the part of the "actors" on the screen, but there is a lot of clever camera work, so if you've got clips where people aren't doing much, you can spice it up using some of the ideas in the clip.

I will point out that this is a a spoken word video and not a music video. Music videos tend to have more shot changes - every 3 seconds or so - while in regular videos there is more time to develop mood.
