What's the term when your loop goes over?

I forget. You know, say you're making a loop on an MPC and the loop isn't exactly perfect and kinda goes over itself a lil'?

I was listening to "Girl" by Destiny's Child (a 9th wonder production) and realize he did this with the drum loop. Kind of interesting, and I know I'm probably mad late on this.

Well, I don't have the original recording, I was just listening to the song online and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with anything.

On another note...

I was noticing the guitar amp buzz in the right channel on Alicia Keys "Lesson Learned" with John Mayer. For a second I was like, what da heck is wrong with my monitors? I'm only used to hearing that buzz when I'm doing live sound at church! hahah. Anyways, I think it sounds pretty cool.

Aieet. Peace.

i think you need to re-listen to that "girl" track produced by 9th wonder. the loop is exactly where it needs to be.

It's probably intended to be that way. 9th is influenced by RZA who was the master of imperfections. Getting the sample to loop correctly is learned early in the stages of beatmaking and I'm certain 9th has mastered that part.
