I've been having a trouble with the time of my samples. When I try to find the tempo of my samples I go to Timestretch then find the original tempo. Then when I try to make the sample into the temp I like, say a 130 original sample to 85 the sample sounds awful, and a lot slower then what i want. I know i'm doing somethign wrong but cannot figure this out.

When you chop say a 15 second loop into like 16 parts what is the order of what you do? Like do you ever change the tempo or work with it or what? and do you change your drums to the sample tempo or turn the sample down?

I've been listen to Bullions album where he uses the Beach Boys album and love how the time of everything works, but hows he do it?

please help, i'm dying cuz of this

I have never heard the song you are refering 2, but when I hear a sample I want to use, I just chop it up. I use whatever tempo I'm feeling. The smaler you chop the more control you get over the tempo that you are using. The MPC's have never had a accurate tempo detection. Its decent, but not the best. I usually get better results using the tap tempo function then adjusting if I have to know the tempo.
