What up my FP fam. I've got a chance to get 1 of these classic samplers for a great price. But for anyone who has 1 of these can u tell me what the process would be to hook this up to my PC? My PC is where most of my equipment is minus the midi controllers. I have an M-Audio mobilePRE if that helps. Help me out guys.

haha, I actually totally disagree. i don't know if Scratch is pulling your leg or not, but it is not 'easy' at all. It's worthwhile to learn how to use it (I've got an S-950), but on the ease of use scale it scores a "0" compared to today's modern gear. I also wouldn't pay more than $125 for a 900. The 950's are around $200, and are slightly better.

Not trying to discourage you since learning the S-950 was one of the best things I've done for my music, but it's not a piece that will integrate easily with a "modern" (read: computer-based) studio.

I wrote this song a long TIME ago...(back in '93 or '94)

I feel you./ I don't know if the other guy was joking or not. But it's up for sale at $175 and not the s-950 the s-900. i guess I can wait. I really want the Roland MC-909 and then I'll be done with gear for a while because that will be all i need really. If anyone is selling 1 please let me know!
