hey, i'm looking for some search terms on google etc. for free sound effects of people screaming "hey". i know some producers have people do them, but i'd like the luxury to have samples of them as well when i'm not in the mood to layer a voice down for those custom yells. i can't seem to find the right search term, or know what they're labeled as.

for reference, these are used alot on swizz beats's music, and i think fabo/neyo's you make me better.

Just record your friends saying that ish and then put it in the computer and process it a little.

LOL!!!!@Superlack

But I kinda agree...That just doesn't sound like a good idea...
If you have to use a yell of something get creative with sampling
Eventhough its cliche' alot of Soul and Funk musicians have yells like that that would add depth sometimes instead of sounding cheesey like alot of the artists I've heard use the GO's!! and YEAHs!!! as adlibs

However even thats starting to get played i.e. Kanye using that Long Red sample in EVERYTHING...well not everything but I got tired of it on the Common Track "The People"

yea it's too easy an argument to say "why don't you get original". i know all that stuff already. that's stuff you say to nubs. i'm talking about some times you want to get creative and just use a quick sample while the ideas in your head, and if anything go back later and change it to something fresh on your own. it's like a mpc vs. a computer, the convenience of clicking on and being able to create when inspiration hits vs. setting up the mic and acoustics and recording some 'heys'. yes, setting up is a process in itself unless your looking for something quick and cheesy, which goes back to how you may as well have those samples in your arsenal!

anyway, let me know if anyone knows search terms or where to get them. i cant think of any swizzy acapellas or find any.

Well if thats the case try thinking of movies, tv shows, or other forms of media for "phrasework" (my lil' term for it) Alot of times just searching the name or word + .wav in a search engine will pull results...I used to go by the name J Storm and my tag would be Cable screaming Storm from an old episode of X-Men...Gotta love the internet!
