you don't have to loop it. not every sample needs to be looped. if you like the whole 5 bars then use it in a way that fits the tempo but isn't dependent on fitting into 4 to eight bars. if you still want to loop it, see what it sounds like timestretched to the desired bars (if there's not a lot of extra sounds or dominating percussion that don't work) in whatever you're using.
