You are talking about progams that edit. They should all be the same unless you get into effects, etc. The quality isn't going to change. Even when recording, the program is not going to effect the quality, assuming you can use the same sample rates, etc. The hardware is what is important.

Anyway, for me, i record in acid, chop in recycle, sequence in reason.
