In this video he said he got the drums from oh my god remix. When i heard the song, there was no break. I was wondering if he used a filter or what, and how he chopped up every different part of the drums. I hope this makes sense, sorry i just started producing

He tells you exactly how he did it and didnt hide any "secrets". The #1 hint as to how he did it was excellent sample selection. Lonnie Smith is an excellent musician.

thats not what hes asking homie. Hes asking how he took the drums from a previously made hip hop beat.

I apologize...I didn't read the whole 1st post, just the title. Sorry bout that.

I didnt watch the link you provided but Im assuming this is regarding the Dead Presidents II beatmaking video where he said the drums were from that Tribe Called Quest beat. If there aren't any breaks in the song itself, did you try the instrumental?
