what do u use to make your drums raw n dirty?

thats my question, what vst plug in do u use to make your sounds (especially the drums) dirty and crispy???

i know, u CAN NOT simulate an sp12 or old mpc sound with digital plug ins, but thats not the question. its all about cheesy plug ins and to make the best of them...

dont use plug ins, well at least i wouldnt. find some old break beats and chop them up.. or pull drums out of old hip hop songs cuz they already mastered and they are loud and crisp

I use Scream 4 on my drums, and layer drums togeather to get a big, gritty sound. When I print to my DAW i'll use a bit crusher and PSP vintage warmer to ultimately by my sound. I've gotten pretty close to authentic sounding old school drum machines

*edit* just read the above post

I love the vintage warmer too.Sometimes I put it on everything.
A bit reducer or a plugin like Trash helps too.

A great free little plug-in called CamelCrusher from Camel Audio. I don't have Camel Phat (yet), but their freebie CamelCrusher is awesome for drums, that and sometimes even with the freebie FX2100 (only occasionally though).

I have no idea where to find FX2100 anymore though.
