I've noticed many aspiring online producers have a tendency to overanalyze the music. If you really understand it and feel it in your bones, its really not that difficult. If you aint snapping your neck to a beat that everyone is feeling, then this may not be for you. Here's an example of some simple hotness:

I totally feel you duke, but it's not only producers but mc's to.
They search for that beat that's gonna carry them, instead of
just rippin' that beat of. I'm gettin' tired of these wannabe mc's
trynna make hits, while the only thing they are doing is fillin' up
a beat instead of lettin' the beat fillup in what they have to say.

Couldn't agree with this post more! The TRUTH!!!

The greatest beats ever made were the least complex. People never seem to realize that anymore. A damn shame.

Rap used to be a Blue Collar type industry. Rappers werent living the Rockstar lives. They were struggling financially. The Drug Dealers were the hood starz. You worked hard for a few years developing your craft, then you hit the pavement and paid your dues. Today we have people rapping for the fame, money women etc....I hear rappers talking about I write my stuff on the spot. A real lyrical assassin takes a few days to cook up that shrapnel. You think Immortal Technique is writing his raps in the studio. That may work for party tracks but that's about it. Koch is relevant today because they are trying to fill this niche-real mc's.

As an emcee i agree sumtimes simple is better...to much extras in a beat can take away from the value of the lyrics
