Ive been trying to figure out how to map a sample across a keyboard. Im using rex files so i thought it should happen automatically. The result I keep getting is the entire sample (not individual slices) on each key with a change in pitch across the keyboard. I'm using the NNXT in reason primarily but i think this is a more general software sampling question. Any direction would be great. Thanks in advance.

In the NN-XT make sure you click on 'Load Patch' and not 'Load Sample' and then find your rex file. Then, as you stated, each slice should automatically be mapped to their own key on your keyboard.

If this doesn't work, maybe it's the rex file itself? Did you create the rex file?

Well if he is individually loading each rex file. He is going to have to assign each sample to a root key and minimize it's zone.

Yea, just load the sample drag the zone as small as it can get and scroll the rootkey to directly above it (in more graphic terms)
