Yo whats going on. I heard this song today. I what to sample some stuff out of it. I have an mpc 4000. I cant seam to get the sample prefect. This is my 1st time sampling a song. I was wondering if there is a program I can either buy or download for chopping up samples? I also was wondering is there any way to take the music out of the sample I would rather just have the voc?

there are many programs u can buy or download to edit wavs. the only way u can really remove vocals is if u have the exact same track in an instrumental version, or if u have the master recording. if not then u have to just use eq and filter to get the best u can.

there are some free programs out there that you can download that will let you chop your samples up and batch convert and all of that neat ****...you juz have to get on the net to one of those audio sites and check out some of that stuff...any type of samplong you do on the computer will be a hell of alot easierthan that damn MPC...when it comes to sampling remember that the more visual ability you have the more acurate your chops will be

It all depends on your software. In ProTools (LE/6): scrub tool, grid-mode, Tab-to-Transient, regions, auto-rename, export regions, etc. all aid in fast and accurate sample chopping and output. In SoundStudio, markers make the task less troublesome, but not as much as ProTools does. On the other hand, I'd much rather chop samples on the MPC than in a program such as Audacity (or god forbid, Quicktime Player), but if I had my choice - I'd go with ProTools all day.
