hey everyone, alright so im new to the whole flipping thing, and been listening to a buncha flips here on FP and they sound pretty amazing to me. I wanna be able to do that. Im using FL7 and a midi keyboard. Could someone please break it down for me how you go about flipping a sample, and what is the best way to go about doing it with what i am using. Id really appreciate it if someone could get me started with some info and steps on how to flip. Thanks

I dont use FL but i guess for an overall type of suggestion, when your listenin to the song you want to flip - listen to the different attacks, start rearranging the notes in your head (if thats what your doin) once you have your sample chopped bang out different things on your board. Never think youve played all the possible variations, there are always more. This one sample i had i thought i had run through all possible flips and chose what i sounded best, i came back to the song file a week or two later and banged out two completely different (and better sounding) melodies.

Listen to the record. Figure out what parts you want to use in the sample. Take it out using the Edison. There you go.
