I'm trying to fit an acapella to a beat I made and I can't get it to click right. What do the people who use acapellas over their beats a lot do to get it sounding right?

heres an easy way to do it... find out the tempo of the the song that the acapella is originally from, then adjust the tempo of your beat accordingly.

Yea I could do that, but I'm using a sample for this beat and it sounds good around 81 BPM and gets cluttered the more i speed it up. The acapella is around 95 BPM.

that's a big difference in bpm...you could try slowing down the vocals but its probably not gonna sound right if you slow down the vocals that much...

So when u try matching a beat and an acapella, u just make the beat to match the BPM of the acapella?

Also when u time stretch do you time stretch the whole acapella?

try chopping the accapela into shorter sections like 8, 4 maybe even 2bar peices. its really unlikely that u'll get the lyrics synced over a whole song unless ur absolutely bang on with the tempos but by chopping it u'll give urself slightly more of a margin of error

u could do the mix in acid beat map the beat and ur accapella take of preserve pitch then just play with the tempo it would mess up either of the tracks will just change he pitch a lil so the smaple wont go of beat and sound bad they will both sound a lil different of course but its not a huge gap in tempo so u should be apple to find a ok match

Try raising the BPM of the beat a bit and lower the bpm of the acapella to match.
