Ye ye im just thinking, there is alot of samples that are presented on here that have drums throughout. How the hell do u chop and sample these tunes without making it sound **** by screwing up the drum pattern. I can understand that you can use the drums off the record but i always kinda thought a sample couldnt have drums as they would be added later???

Theres two ways i do it.

1) if its light drums, i just put my drums over it.

2) if they hard drums, i make two copys of my chops

One i mix with a low band, the other i do with a mid ranged to high band.

What that low band does is give me the base, and the high band takes off the drum and leaves the melody.

Takes a bit of EQin to get it right.
