This is taken from an interview with Dave Grohl.
"Any advances on the Nirvana box set?' - 'Krist and I are slowly getting there. You gotta remember, I was their 6th drummer, so there's a lot of stuff there from Flipper and Scratch acid that even I hadn't heard of before. There's also the final track we recorded, as a demo, before Kurt's death. It's definitely stuff that should come out. But we want to round up as much material as we can, to make it more interesting. Earlier this year I had thought maybe it'd be out by Christmas, I'm not sure now.' Another question: 'Are you still ambivalent about working on the Nirvana legacy when you're trying to set up an identity with the Foo Fighters?' - 'I'm sure it's there in the back of my mind. On the one hand, it was a great band and I'm extremely proud of what we achieved. On the other, there's not one day when people don't bring Kurt up in conversation. They either tell me he's an ******* for killing himself - which I think is rude - or they ask if he was murdered. Like, I'd know. I dream about him and think about him often. But it'd be really nice if I could just move on.' 'Are there any aspects of modern day rock that you blame Nirvana for?' 'Huh! If it is brought to my attention, I blame it on the Pixies, because Nirvana stole much of our stuff from them anyway, hahaha!"

Found on guitar.com last month;
"Krist Novoselic says the Nirvana box set he is preparing will be all-encompassing. 'My idea behind it is to make it an encyclopedia, where it's the mothership of Nirvana knowledge,' says Novoselic. 'There's gonna be outtakes, live stuff. Stuff not available on bootlegs that's been under lock and key.' "

So basically folks we can look forward to more Nirvana besides the thousands of bootlegs I still need to get. It will be released sometime this year.

I just recently drove down to Chicago to see the Foo Fighters. What a great show that was! Here is a picture from it.

Here is a picture of the ticket.

Anyways, I will keep you posted about the Nirvana Box Set.

man im not a fan of the music. i think its just noise. but the whole grunge thing was cool cuz they didnt follow n e one else and just did what they wanted to. which i can respect. too bad the idiot shot himself because im sure he woulda progressed as a musician a hundred times over... well maybe..
in my opinion tho music would not be where it is now without the whole grunge thing. which is good or bad depending on what u think about music today.
hey downfall what u think about billy corgan leaving us?

Well, Kurt's not an idiot. Just made a mistake. Ofcourse there are still murder theories, but I dont care to get into it. The band was breaking up before he killed himself anyway. I like certain paths Nirvana paved, but I dont like others. But, still they had great music to me and it will be missed. Billy Corgan is a great musician. I was fortunate enough to get tickets to the last Smashing Pumpkins show in Milwaukee, last April. What a great show! His musical presence will be missed. I am sure he will do other stuff here and there. Keep on rocking! Ruke the world.

i agree. he was an amazing musician. hes the whole reason i started playin music. but what do u think about the reason he left? do u think thats really y he left or that he had other reasons. and if it is y he left y do u think that he would contradict himself like that cuz he always said he plays music for the love of music. seems very hypocritical cuz apparently he left cuz more ppl were buyin n sync then his records.

I don't think a Nirvana box set would sell very well. Most box sets don't anyway.

Sorry we can't let you in.

nine inch nails may have a new album coming out by years end...teir website was update a week ago with new pictures .....maybe some kind of sign of lyircal content for the next record.......but by now the images have all but faded into nothingness..........some of the word mention the lathe of heaven..........interesting............here are some passages from the missing text

Daydream, which is to thought as the nebula is to the star, borders on sleep, and is concerned with it as its frontier. An atmosphere inhabited by living transparencies: there's a beginning of the unknown. But beyond it the Possible opens out, immense. Other beings, other facts, are there. No supernaturalism, on the occult continuation of infinite nature....Sleep is in contact with the Possible, which we also call the improbable. The world of the night is a world. Night, as night, is a universe....The dark things of the unknown world become neighbors of man, whether by true communication or by a visionary enlargement of the distances of the abyss...and the sleeper, not quite seeing, not quite unconscious, glimpses the strange animalities, weird vegetations, terrible or radiant pallors, ghosts, masks, figures, hydras, confusions, moonless moonlights obscure unmakings of miracle, growths and vanishings within a murky depth, shapes floating in shadow, the whole mystery which we call Dreaming, and which is nothing other than the approach of an invisible reality. The dream is the aquarium of Night.
-V. Hugo,

this was fragmented on one of the new pages..........its been a long time since all that could have been.....thank god we have different music genres.....can you image nothing but 20 jay-zs & 40 justin timberlakes to listen to!
