What i mean is before i even got into producing and sampling i thought old 60s tracks ect was worthless and boring, just hated hearing it. Then when i got into sampling collecting these kind of tracks i started appriacating the music more. I Even started listening to this radio station, they play all classic tracks so im getting lots of good artist names i can sample ect. Whats your view on this?

Definitely, to soem extent. WHen I heard the original track Mase and whomever sampeld for welcome back i hated that genre, then I realized the potential. Now i see music as a whole differently. I can respect everyone from Elton John to 50 cent with what their good at. But i always listened to the old RnB/soul and Old Rock songs cus of my mom and dad.

My view has always been there has been a great deal of music being created, So it works out that we have music to draw from. It also shows just how creative our predecessors were. But the problem I have is, if we don't start to create non-sample based music then what will future generations have to sample? (sampled based music) we should put more effort into being creative and innovative, do something outside the box not whats in the top 40, take chances what may seem weird today may just make you some money 15 years from now. LOL

I've always respected all genres of music, but some didn't really appeal to me (like some of the older stuff). Now, I do listen to some older stuff for sampling. But ya know, when I listen to it I always kinda open my ears for things that I can sample....And I don't really feel that I'm enjoying it the way I should be....I mean, some stuff I do enjoy listening to,but....**** it's hard to explain lol.
