However, in answer to your question, the mpd24, which I have one, is no more than a control that sends midi information to you devices. Which means that in order for it to trigger any type of sound or event, that sound or event has to first be mapped to a particular address. Meaning, any sound you put on C3 will be triggered by the corresponding C3 key from the MPD. While you do have alot of flexibility as to which type of event many of the knobs, pads and buttons on the MPD will trigger, most of this is edited either on the mpd itself or in your software. As far as I know, there is no MPD software that will allow you to drag and drop events to correspond with certain keys of the mpd. Not yet anyway. We'll hope for the future.

yeh click into channels in FL at the top & look for the "FPC" u can assign samples there or from the same list u can choose the "FL Slicer" to chop samples, jus drag a sample into it.Pz

You know what came in my mind, if your stuff gets stolen "again" you can just download FL from the website and keep making beats. haha

Sorry for that I know I shouldn't make fun of your bad experience you made.

it's all good. Why do you think I learned FL Studio in the first place??? I know how to use it really well. I just like the MPC better. If my ish gets jacked again I'll still be in the game

So that's why you learned it "in the first place"? haha you're a Gee lol.

Yeah I started with software, but I still want to try out some hardware from eBay just to see how it is, so I can say I've experienced working with hardware. And being an owner of FL is ALWAYS good. And I think you won't forget how to work it, it's easy, so IF for example your stuff gets jacked you can just pull it out and keep coming them beats, it's like a secret weapon.

And you can get a laptop or a old pc from everywhere.
