I'm trying to build a sound library, but I prefer to use royalty-free samples over the diggin in the crates method. Are the samples from this site worth the price, or should I look elsewhere for high quality sounds?

all samples can be tweaked to perfection so even if they are not good, they can be made better.....trial and error

which ones you want to know about? I have all of them, they are good. I can make a track with just them alone.

All of them to be honest, but mostly the instruments. That's my problem now, I have no instruments, just a whole bunch of drums. Do the instruments sound like real live ones, or are they on the same level as the samples that already come with Fruityloops?

They ain't much for natural sounds. Mostly synth stuff and drums. Lots of misc sounds that you could use to fill up the foundation of a track, guitars are nice too and perc. For instruments though you really don't want 1 shot samples that change in length as you play it across the keyboard. You need either soundfonts or a good vst instrument like proteus x, dimension pro, sonik synth 2. For free go to the soundfont sites and get soundfonts and get SFZ for a free SF player.
