He does seem to use one snare, or really similar sounding ones, but it doesn't bother me at all...I don't know why it bothers others so much, though.

LOL that is pretty funny, but the fact is sure a few of his beats have same snare but loads of his others are differnt, tell me one producer that never recycles a snare or any other drum.

9th is so underrarated in my view, hes the true master of FL.

(lol, I haven't heard bama since I lived in MoCo)

If people are going to get mad at 9th for using the same snare, get mad at every southern producer for using the same drum machine, XD.

If people threw all the B.S. rules out the window and focus on the music, it would be a beatiful thing.

If you sample you're not a real producer, if you use stock sounds and don't tweak anything you're not being creative, if you only use software you're not talented, if your beat doesn't have 20 transitions it's too loopy, 9th breaks all those rules everyday, lol.

Well, now he uses an MPC, but....

Two things that annoy me are people who are positive out of ignorance, and people who are negative out of bitterness. People who are neither usually get along with me and agree with most of what I say. People who are one of the 2 think I'm the other.

I do agree with the 'musics more important' philosophy, but who wants to hear beats that use the same drums, the same stock sample sounds, the same patches etc. Its bad enough when you hear that from the same producer but imagine if every hip hop producer ever had used the same snare etc. Theres hundreds of drum breaks out there and even more single snares. IMO you are being lazy if you use the same everything on every track you ever create. If a new producer came on the scene that always did his tracks at 90 bpm, I would also think he was lazy. I'm sure everyone sticks to some sort of 'rules' (ie forcing yourself to try something new) otherwise every track they made would be too similar.
