Based on this discussion about FL or The MPC sounds to me that the only important thing is the sounds. If that is the case then somebody tell me the difference in having Reasons or having FL with over 100 different drum kits. And then explain or justify why or why not an MPD 24 is not a better way to go.....hit me at reggie.riggs@hotmail.com or i will look forward to the post on these questions

You don't need 100 drum kits. Go for quality not quantity

Its pretty much wether you want to go with Hardware (MPC) or software (reason FL).
the MPC is a great all in one production unit however I couldnt justify spending 2 G's on an MPC when I could do the same with Reason and a Midi Controller.
Its all about personal preference I guess.

My 2 Cents...

I feel that you should get an MPC if you plan on eventually dumping your all software setup, and going straight pro... meaning a few synthesizers, some hardware COMPs, EQ's and effects, and maybe ProTools to put it all together... otherwise using an MPC to MIDI out is just ridiculous... the padKontrol, Trigger Finger and MPD's all trigger samples in your DAW and for much less... SOOOOOO you can either drop 5huns+ or drop a Benji and get just about the same performance in a mostly software environment... Thats why Ive invested in a Trigger Finger, cuz Im not ready financially or musically to convert to a mostly hardware environment
