How do I get the voice to be high pitched, but the tempo slower???

I believe this is called, timestretching, and I know I cannot do it in REcycly, but I believe I can in Audacity..

I have messed around upping the pitch and slowing the tempo in Audacity, but the result just sounds CRAZY Distorted

any help? i really apprecaite it

i need something to do this too, i use Recycle but it doesn't do timestretching properly. i have this program called Amazing Slow Downer it will do it but it has not BPM or anything u just gotta try to do it by ear.

its distorted cause your doing it digitally, you're creating artifacts by pitching it up then by timestretching it...some software more than others...

magix music studio is only 80 bucks and it does exactly what you want easily with no distortion. I just flipped an en vogue sample on a track called "never would've thought that". its on my soundclick page and I used magix to do it.

Especially since I feel like there has got to be a way I can do that with Audacity or Recycle

You have to timestretch it. If you use cool edit or Adobe Audition it timestretches perfectly. try downloading either program and its in effects. i do it all the time to make samples with my r&b singers.

yea i heard cool edit pro works well, its just I got a Mac and it wont support it...thanks tho

anyone know if I could timestretch or do something similar with just Recylce/Audacity??? Id appreciate any help
