Yes you can use a MIDI KEYBOARD CONTROLLER with Reason. A controller is a good thing to get as it is cheap (around $100 USD) and as you touch the notes (keyboard) and learn piano a bit


What you do with a MIDI KEYBOARD CONTROLLER hooked to Reason:

. you can "play" the sounds of the virtual synthesizers in real time
. you record in realtime what you play


Do NOT get a keyboard with sounds... just a controller... cheaper, and you control the sounds you have in your computer.
