now i hear this in alot of the prof south beatz. it sounds like the 808 snare is so crisp, so clean. somtimes it sounds like they altered the sound somehow. i tried to get that same sound using a basic 808 snare from fruity loops. i tried pitching it but it does not have that industry sound. i sampled snares off old records which kind of helped but not much. does anybody have what im lookin for like different variations of the 808 snare i can trade. i got piano and brass sounds to orchestra hits whatever u want

man the standard 808 snares on fruity loops are fine.. you just can adjust the pitch until you hear the right crisp sound. A lot of times we use the 808 snare from fruityloops for our 808 drum beats

we used it here and it sounds fine:

i think it has like 3 different stock 808 snare sounds in the Vintage folder... im not positive cuz im not home right now, but one of them is pretty crisp and sounds great... alotta times we put it thru the MPC2500 so that might help its sound quality a little bit im not sure... shouldn't

808's are the kind of drum you don't gotta be picky about lol... Even the stock FL ones will do

go buy a tr-808. Naw just playin. Just look for a tr 808 kit on the web somewhere... Well, actually if you want the best 808s, you buy the drum machine. I'm not a big fan of 808s though. Played out
