I just wanted a few opinions on this topic. Do you all think it's ok to flip a famous sample that's already been used as long as you don't do it exactly like it's been flipped previously?

why not? other "known" producers do it. do you. besides, who's to say that just because someone used a sample before you did, you can't use it too. who knows, you might do it better than the first person who used it. if you got a sample you want to use and someone else has already used it, so what. get creative and flip it like a gymnast. just my 3 cents.

Anybody can make a beat. It's your creative mind that makes it hot or not.

Being a producer also means freedom of creativity, so, if you feel so creative to do something totally different to that sample, I say, go for it!

yeah it's alright. a sample is a beat makers instrument, just cause one guy has used a certain type of guitar or something doesn't mean the next guy can't use the same guitar and make it different.
