You can sample for example 1 old soul record and make 8 bars loop and just re-create drums or add something background. Or you can for example go to www(dot)freesolopiano(dot)com, download something, sample it, add next sample.. You know?

But my advice is to get Reason 3.0 (or higher) and you can create your own melodies, stick 'em into your own loops and for example you can add your own loops into your sampled loops... And for sound efects (sfx)? You won't believe what you can do with Reason..

Be creative and hardworking, then you'll get a cool music production, there's no other way...
