I want to learn how to play the guitar and had them to my hip hop music, like I know see a few black people using guitars and stuff. I'm going to learn next year in school. What type of guitar should I use in my hip hop music? Please hit me back.

For hiphop use either a clean, crisp guitar sound or a crunchy Vox-style sound.
Obviously, the perfect sound will depend on the rest of the track. Experimentation will probably result in th best solution.

Listen to the Trick.

Their guitarist plays like Dr. Dre looks for a good hook.

I play the guitar I got an ESP 252bb emghz humbucker pickups and locking tremolo and a marshall amp. basically a metal guitar setup. i make hip hop mostly and it sounds good as hell
if your going to learn guitar for hip hop alot of what you hear is probaly a nylon or steel string acoustic( like trackmasters and neptunes) but an electric can sound mad good and with the right FX you can get alot of expression out of it and even simulate acoustic sound (Dres guitar guy mike elizondo uses mostly electric guitars) if your looking to get a bluesy funk kind of sound a fender stratacastor to a nice hollow body gibson or epiphone will sound great also try ESP, jackson, Ibanez, Paul Reed Smith, they all have reputable names. with guitars youre gonna get the sound you pay for, but since your using it for a genre where pretty much anything goes you could proly freak a $150 fender sqiuer. If you go the acoustic route Unless u plan on miking the guitar try to get An electric/acoustic.Try to get a good sounding wood too .like rosewood ceder spruce >etc search the web and youll find alot of detailed info on this subject.also look into a Line POD effects unit. you can plug guitar in it and send it str8 to mixer. hit me up if you need any more detail

Read the liner notes of Outkast and Snoop Dogg's albums. They use live guitars.
