You need a Phono pre-amp and I guess you're going to be running that through your line in (unless you have a better input).

For recording, you'll have to use another program like Audacity or Audition to capture the input.

As for TT reccomendations, I'll leave that to someone else... You don't need anything too fancy.. Cartridge is important however.

dont buy recycle instead buy soundforge thats my recommendation. recycle doesnt allow for sampling but u can splice loops. ur better off wtih soundforge, a dj mixer, and a 1200sl

if you're short on money, 1200's are definitely not the way to go unless you are starting to be a dj.. in which case there are equal solutions for less money

they are pricey but I havent found a turntable that I like more than the 1200 except for maybe the TTX by Numark those feel great too. As long as the timing on the table is good thats really whats important for sampling

if you just wanna sample and ain't worried about scratching and stuff then any turntable will do you don't need anything expensive, just make sure you get a good cartridge.

I use a Stanton T.50 for sampling. Works great for me. Remember, if your just sampling you really don't need to much....as long as it plays a record you should be able to use it.

Get a TT with a preamp built in or for like $ 35 USD u can cop a Behringer DJ MIXER(2 channel w/ crossfader-and its got the preamp u need, plus with this mixer u can sample from other sources without having to disconnect and reconnect other gear over and over---It'll be a good investment-A SOUND INVESTMENT-Get it!) How much u want to spend total-Let me know i can point u in the right direction .
