Now I support...digging as much as the next producer that loves the roots of the game.

But looking at the prices of some rare vinyl, or just when the bread is low it's like...Lemme remember the name of this one here and DL it! Or even when you find like 3-5 records you want when you came in the shop with the money for 1-2. The thing is finding some of these for download is simply impossible.

lol, I have names of some joints I'm tryna find cuz I can't afford the vinyls I found them on (20-35).

Anyone ever do this tho? lol. It's ghetto as hell, but I cop sometimes then sometimes it's hard out here for a pimp.

^ See I'm not in an area really up on vinyl like that. I need to start going out of town for vinyl indeed. Around here (Central PA) vinyl is expensive. And it's not that I don't cop ever. Just go in and check the vinyl with my laptop and soulseek around open, lol. Naw I cop em what I can but I'm not in a position to buy the wall out namean.

i like going to the thrift shop and finding random **** like records from the 70's with chinese instrumental music. its like 50-75 cents per vinyl and you get some really unique stuff to sample... i like sampling obscure stuff.

I wish that there were more "vocal" samples online. Some samples for DL are just a waste of time..

Or you can create something original if you cant afford Diggin'. Nothing against sampling but just a thought.

How about using a recording of your self and chopping it up, like a piano loop or vocal?

you don't have any thift stores in your area you in Penn state I though you guys on there would have vinyl jumping into your laps lol. Try ordering those Time/life soul collection CD and sampling those, they are pretty cheap. Matter of fact that's what I going to do. No recording off my turntable just rip it right off. Buy a bulk lot on E Bay. Can get a grab bag of 100 random records for like 25 bucks if you look around. Not all are gonna be great, but youre bound to find stuff you like. Then take the others you didnt care for to your local record shop, sell them off and recoup some of your dough.

Then do it again. And again. Make your area "up on vynil". Start the movement for them. People will probably buy what you sold off. Eventually if theres enough people doing it, you can start a local record swap. Make it happen for your area, its gotta start somewhere right?
