I have a Numark and I love it, its one of my favorite pieces of equipment... I just use it to sample, I've never tried to use it for anything else, so I dunno why one would call it "garbage"... as far as the Ion, I think they're pretty much the same as far as specs go but Numark has the reputation advantage....
