I was in Japan all summer, and that was the best record selection ive ever seen. I found stuff ive never seen in my life before, and it was just such a cool experience. I come from a prett bad city for records, the 2 used vynil stores have everything ranging from...60's classic rock and roll too...late 60's classic rock and roll. sometimes i can find some decent things there, like some funk or soul music thats fun to listen to.

well, thats what my best digging is, in Japan. You can walk 2 blocks in any major district and find either a new vynil store or used vynil store. Its amazing, so if any of you are going there, bring some extra money.

only weird thing was the amount of DMX and JaRule records there were... I didnt really get that.

The Goodwill in Olympia has some gems on occasion.

This place in Seattle, ****, on Cap Hill, big white overhang and simple lettering. A few blocks from the Tower Records. Dope, big selection.

And this other place in Pittsburgh, big-ass used store in the ghetto. 45s for days.

Thrift stores are great, you just have to keep checking back to get the new stuff people are cleaning out. I got Eugene McDaniels for a $1 at my local store. And I've found Black Sabbath promos in nursing homes. Record spots are everywhere.

I wrote this song a long TIME ago...(back in '93 or '94)

we have a recovery yard at our local tip (dump) where you can find all sorts of gems. They have all the records in a huge tin-shed and nobody even takes any notice of them! I have found hundreds of real treasures there - especially really really old stuff from the 1920s - 1940s. Spoken word stuff from way back then sounds great! Also they have stacks of early hip-hop, funk and disco records. It really is a gold mine because no-one down here in australia really does any digging (outside of the major cities anyway)....
