Maybe not new but it seems to be happaning more often these days.

After over 25 years of hip-hop music there are fewer and fewer samples that haven't been touched. Using a rare sample happens less and less.

Example....

the one blood joint by game was done by RZA one the W

the new hov joint was done by Rass Kass

The isley brothers joint used for biggie then more recently jim jones and the gwen stephanie. etc etc

Anyway is the trend that it is acceptable to re-use samples as long as the joint is hot.

I think if it was done by the producer/beatmaker without knowing then it's kind of ok.. If you know about previous use and just try to redo it "better" then release it, that is kind of frail.

Opinions???????????????

there are NO SUCH THINGS as "sample ethics"... you can take a sample that was used 100 times before you, if your **** comes out like hot garbage then u deserve to get clowned on...if the **** is hot, then it's fu kin hot!!! it'll be harder to take a sample that's been done 100 times before you and make it hot anyway, just cause it's already been done so many times... but if in the end, it's hot, then u REALLY had to put that together well....

i don't see a problem wit using the same sample someone else did, just as long as u do it differently.. when u do it the same way, that's a problem.... i personally think the new jay z song is average.... but blaze is known for taking samples and using them the same way the've been used before..... he used it differently this time though....

Some go that route cause when it comes to getting clearance it tends to be a bit cheaper

i dont like using the same sample,it irritates me personally.

i rarely sample(i prefer to play everything) but if i find something hot that i dont recall hearing no where else i will use it.
