every deep bassy 8u08 kick i come across i can never get it to sound right. i aply alot of different effects and try many different things but they always sound hella gay. what do you guys do to your 808 samples?
what about shortening the decay time? is that done normally, or is the 808 kick usually used to have that long decay? also, the open hihats i can never get sounding right... sounds too fake or cheesy... any tips?
