Shouts to all the cats who put blood sweat and tears into this muzic ish even though sometimes it seem like runnin uphill wit a bus tied to ya back yo I hear cats all the time talkin bout how they snag a snare kick hat etcetera from an old vinyl but it seems like when I try that method I always end up with the rythym of the song along with the hit Im trying to sample do anybody know how to isolate the specific sounds you want? I sample using Moitf es and the slice function. P.s. F**k Guitar Center and Sam Ash Music Stores bunch of uptight boogie .......where the real musicians work at? Cuz them ni***'s have no skillz or useful information!!!!

Say i want a hi hat but it has some bass in the backgroung, i EQ the lows, and get as much bass as i can out.

But its hard, you have to look for breaks and drum solos, you get that a lot in Jazz and Rock.

But if you have a snare with somethin like a piano in the background, its still cool, cos it adds some body to the snare.

'Preciate tha tip fam, say how come I ain't recieve more than 1 reply to my question ain't this a forum , a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged. Do you know how to get more points of view on questions?
