ok i am about to sample some tapes my pops just let me have his old tape deck. in has AC input and output and im trying to run it into a computer with a line in cable. so i found a cable that converts AC to line in and the only problem is i realized that the new laptop i have doesnt have a line in. it only has a mic input and an earphone jack. i was sad at first but i tryed to plug into the mic input and it works i can record tape sound to my computer through acid. I have 3 questions,
is it safe to record line in through mic input ...im not harming anything am I it seems to work fine, and will it affect the quality of the recording? also i have Nuendo on disk but its not installed, is nuendo better to record in than Acid?
