Hey wassup my man... on the SP 404 you simply hit the [REC] button and all the number pads will light up, select the PAttern Group, then press the pad number where you want to start recording your sample. hit start on your turntable and press [REC] on your 404 in sync with the start of the loop then hit [REC] in sync with the end of your loop. and There u have your first sample.
