Hey bro, the sample is William Bell- Strung Out off his Duets album. He uses an ASR-10 for arranging the chops but I'm not sure what he chops them in. The law of sampling is that you must clear anything and everything no matter how small.

Yeah that songs a banga.

It would be great, 'cuz I like to Chopping and Pitching old songz, but I'm worry 'bout lawz, 'cuz I ain't got so much money to buy licence of used soundz... If you don't mind, could you explain to me "how to clear a sample" for example? Thanx man...

Clearing a sample means to get the rights to use portions of the sample in a beat or song. Don't worry about clearing if ur not putting out a commercial release.

Kanye probably uses the ASR-10 for chopping, and then sequences it on an MPC2000 (not sure if it's a XL).
