everytime i play the turntable it skips and keeps on skipping until the needle is on the plastic theres nothing i can do do i need a new needle or what the only ive been gettin by is by hold the cartridge in place but a few months ago my tt was doing this
I'm thinking it may have to do with the weight, is it set properly? What happend anyway, did it just start on it's own, did you drop it, did you little brother and his friends play with it?

nah one day i tried to use it and it was skipping and the needle just kept pushing
i assume you tried with different record, in case its warped or something. and yea, check the anti skate weight on the arm. when my needles are worn out, it doesnt skip, it just starts to sound reall bad.
