first of all, think about how you want the rhythm to be. then try to write down how many syllables this rhythm would have. then come up with topic of your rhyme, and try to come up with witty/funny/cool lines and think up rhymes, man. that's the only advice I can give you really, it's gotta come out of yourself.

not that thats not good advice mattu but I wouldnt agree. I find it easier to write whatever comes to you. Obviously, you pick a topic first, then just scribble down whatever comes into your head. Then later go back over it and adjust, changes words etc etc. whatever needs doing..

I know some mc's who make a living from it, they carry a pen and notebook with them everywhere, and their always thinking up lines, weather its one line, 2,3 etc. Then when they go home, they work on it, insert lines, take out lines etc etc...

For me the worst part to writing a tune, is the chorus,

yeah, I know what you mean, Don, and I'm with you on all you say. But he said it was for garage, which puts it in another position. The rhymes there should be rhythmic and mostly to big up the crowd and get them to move their arses. It's not that much about lyricism as in hiphop.
