Hey I wanted to know if anyone has a solution to getting the popping out of the samples I take from records?

ive done the following when dealing with loud pops/clicks;

1. open the sound file in an audio editor.

2. the pop or click will probably be visable as a spike in the .wav file.

3. select that spike and adjust the volume to 10-50% (varies depending on the volume of the sample)

in the final sample you will notice the pop/click is almost completely gone and you cannot really detect a drop in volume in that portion of the audio sample...youll have to play with the levels of volume adjustments to get it sounding right.

well step 1 should be make sure your needle and record are both clean after that i suggest a noise removal program like waves x noise or bias soundsoap.

Adobe Audition has a click/pop/crackle eliminator built in thats adjustable and works pretty good.
