Canibus doesn't freestyle... all of the **** he does is written... same with about 80% of Eminem's ****... even when he did battles, I've heard two different battles where he's used the same verse for each, and when he battled Juice he started to get into the "braindead like Jan Brady" rhyme... either way, he started spittin writtens and still got ate by the J-U-Ice. When Jay dissed Nas it wasn't freestyle... most emcees don't freestyle at all. When they go to radio shows they have **** written to perform...
In Eminem's "Angry Blonde" book, he wrote: "A freestyle is a verse you've written that nobody's heard."
That's bull**** to me... makes me lose respect for his skills... but he can flip ****, I've heard him doing the word game.
But gawd, don't anybody say that Canibus is one of the best freestylers, or Eminem, cause I think Em's gotten rusty since he hit the fame, and Canibus fell off like the World Trade Centers.
Check for cats like Eyedea, Sage Francis, Juice, Slug, Supernatural, ADM... those cats would freestyle any of the cats above into a hole.
I think that many mc's if they know their gonna battle one night, then they'll write some battling flows, recite them over and over so they know them from their head. Most true freestyles are weak..
