i have a few questions...
is it not good to surpass your peak when sampling drums

does anybody know where i can get some good 808 kicks

sampleing pass the peak on a MPC wil give you some ditortion and warmth to your drums don't go to far over or it will sound like ish, but run over it a little and then do the same drums when you don't go over it and compare

sampling past the peak won't give ur drums warmth, not with the MPC neway(older samplers eps,asr10s will give it more warmth but they let u do that), it just sounds like ****, if u want them louder just turn the volume of the sample up in the edit-params screen, or take the accross to ur computer n **** with them on an editing program

I've got more 808 and 909 than anyone. In refills, wavs, and even in AKAI format disk. I have the Terminator AKAI 808-909 collection. I even have 808 that was RECORDED at 24 bit. And a kit that was made from a guy that built his own 808 machine but made the machine super clean to get more headroom. Let me know if ya wanna get 'em.
